Bo spent her early years bouncing back and fourth between New York and Thailand. Her affinity for the arts became evident at an early age, being heavily influenced from growing up around painters and sculptors, watching them breathe life to blank canvases. She often participated in art galleries, contributing her own work and went on to receiving her BA in fine arts, graduating early, at 20 years old.
Upon completion of college, Bo became fully involved in the fashion industry by a quick but happy accident. Feeling unfulfilled by her daily duties as a Graphic Designer, she used all her free time to scour new ways to express her creativity. She first dabbled with makeup after meeting a fashion photographer. Bo has always been fascinated by the art of beauty but she never dreamt of the promising career in makeup that happened upon her. She painted faces with fresh new eyes, preserving the beauty of her canvases. With makeup, she was elated to discover that she is able to play with paint, colors, brushes, and textures again while satiating her need to make art.
After working on numerous personal projects for a few short months, she was approached by an artist agency for representation. Bo left her full time designer job that year and fully focused all her energy as a full time Makeup artist. Each day is more exciting than the last, even after 12+ years of experience in the industry under her belt. She has lent her talents for editorial clients such as Vogue, Teen Vogue, W, Tatler, Ocean Drive, and L'officiel to name a few. Some of her additional clients include Aldo, MAC cosmetics, Sephora, Dr. Loretta beauty, New Look, and Amazon.
Bo spends her free time painting, cooking, traveling and cuddling with her senior Pomeranian, Bunny. Her guilty pleasures involve binge watching youtube on beauty products reviews by people outside of the beauty industry and videos on pop cultures in different countries. She dreams to see more of this world on work assignments or on holidays. She will take what she can get!
